Fabian Delph is an injury doubt ahead of Everton’s meeting with Norwich City, and the Toffees have another player with a ‘50%’ chance of playing on Saturday – Bernard. Premier Injuries say he could return over the weekend after his ‘knee injury’, but he may not be risked by Marco Silva if he isn’t 100%.
The 27-year-old has been out of action for nearly a month, causing him to miss Everton’s 2-0 EFL Cup win over Watford (October 29), 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur (November 3), 2-1 win over Southampton (November 9). Bernard has made only two appearances in as many months, so he’ll be short of match fitness regardless.
Prior to his injury woes in September, Bernard had made six consecutive Premier League appearances, scoring one goal. Silva has used Alex Iwobi & Theo Walcott on opposing flanks in the Brazilian’s absence, so Everton have options if he’s not passed fit in time.
What will the result be on Saturday?
Everton win
Draw
Norwich win
Silva said earlier in the month that he was hopeful of Bernard returning after the international break, but it remains to be seen if he’ll get the nod on Saturday.
