Frank Lampard has handed Everton a “HUGE” injury boost in his press conference ahead of their next fixture, welcoming Crystal Palace to Goodison Park in a feet to try and reverse their poor form recently, losing three Premier League games in a row.

Nathan Patterson started the Premier League season on a high, making the right-back position in the Everton squad rightfully his own. However, in Scotland’s recent Nations League win against Ukraine, Patterson would be forced off the pitch with an early injury, ruling him out for the coming games. After a month on the side-lines, it seems that the Scotsman might finally be returning to the blue’s squad.

When asked about the progress Patterson was making in returning from his injury, Lampard answered [via Everton – YouTube]:

“He’s progressing, he’s training with us. Hopefully, he should be fit for next week.”

The defender’s return ahead of the toffee’s trip to London to face Fulham will likely be a huge boost for the squad, especially considering their recent form.

In his interview, Frank Lampard was also asked about the recovery of Ben Godfrey from an injury picked up at the start of the season:

“He will be training with us, hopefully, next week. Early stages, but he’s back, which is great.”

Patrick Boyland has also confirmed, via Twitter,  that winger and long-term absentee will likely be returning to the first-team squad amid the break put in place for the world cup [via Patrick Boyland – Twitter]. The Englishman tore his ACL whilst playing for the blues in an FA Cup tie with his former club, Crystal Palace. After nearly 8 months out, it looks like he could finally be back in Frank Lampard’s setup, offering some vital competition in attacking areas.
