Everton manager Marco Silva is busily preparing for this weekend’s Premier League tie with Brighton and Hove Albion and following defeat to Manchester United last Sunday, the aim will be to get back to winning ways following the 2-1 loss.

With the common consensus being that Everton were largely second best on the day, the stats show we could’ve potentially got more slightly more from the game but the hosts made more of their own opportunities and Gylfi Sigurdsson’s penalty didn’t spark a late comeback.

With Everton being on a run of form that brought three wins on the spin prior to the game, there’s every reason for confidence that we can pick up all three points this coming weekend and according to PhysioRoom’s injury table, the only player out of contention remains James McCarthy, and given his long-standing issues, albeit he’s now rebuilding his fitness back up properly as he looks for a first-team return, Silva’s plans for the match won’t be interrupted.

With a full squad to pick from, that can only be a bonus for the tie.
