It’s fair to say Yannick Bolasie hasn’t had the best of times at Everton following his big-money move from Crystal Palace back in August 2016.

Having come in for a reported £30million he has only made 26 starting appearances for us with a further seven showings from the bench and in that time he’s returned two goals. His time with us has been interrupted though owing to the lengthy injury he picked up and although he was clearly nowhere near fitness, being played regardless by Sam Allardyce last season did more than turn the fans against him as he wasn’t replicating his Palace form.

Some fans naturally had doubts about his productivity anyway, but that turned the tide and there seems no way back now.

He’s been linked with a move away from the club all summer and a few weeks back unsubstantiated reports emanating from Turkey suggested that Fenerbahce had a firm interest in taking him on loan for the coming campaign but the issue would be his wages.

The same outlet – Click Here – are now reporting that negotiations between the two clubs have reached the next stage and Bolasie has been given permission to strike a deal with them, and it’s believed he has done just that. It’s expected the move for the 29-year-old will be rubber-stamped and announced soon and that he will spend the entire 2018/19 season with them.

The fact it isn’t a permanent transfer has irritated some but I can’t repeat those particular tweets!
