The youngster, who spent the season on loan at Crystal Palace, has spoke openly about his desire to get game time next season – even if that means moving on from Stamford Bridge.
Loftus Cheek had an impressive season in South London. Roy Hodgson, who managed the midfielder during his loan spell, has even compared the midfield to former Chelsea and Germany midfielder, Michael Ballack.
The ex-England manager went as far as to say that Loftus Cheek hasĀ “maybe got more strings to his bow than even Ballack had. That’s a bold thing to say, I know, but he’s so good at going past people. He’s got that deceptive turn of pace.”
Loftus-Cheek’s fine form for club and country this seasonĀ has attracted a host of suitors but the Everton faithful seem surprisingly optimistic about their chances of signing the Chelsea man.
Fans have taken to twitter to voice their support of the club’s reported interest in the 22-year-old with some supporters seemingly under the impression the deal is all but done.
Here is a summary of the best of the reaction:

Loftus-Cheek an astute signing – can finally fill the Barkley void with his direct running and power. Not quite the same threat from shooting outside the box but a great age for developing. With Rooney gone he takes his place in the squad.
