With the transfer deadline drawing ever closer, it’s likely that we’ll see an increase in our transfer business over the course of coming days. One player who has an uncertain future is Ademola Lookman.

The Independent reports that RB Leipzig are still hopeful of signing Ademola Lookman before the conclusion of the summer transfer window. The German side have already had two rejected bids for our talented youngster, but in light of the arrival of Richarilson, Leipzig believe they can persuade the club to sell Lookman.

Without question, the 20-year-old impressed during his spell in Bundesliga, scoring five goals in 11 appearances for the German club.

Lookman is unequivocally talented and has the potential to be a very significant player for us, but if he doesn’t want to stay, it’s difficult to force a player to remain against their will. It would be a great shame if he did depart, as he is incredibly skilled.

  • You take a chance on paying quite big money, for a young player, from a lower division. If the player does not work out, you lose most of the fee, and still have to pay, what one assumes is a heafty contract.
Thus if he does develop as hopped, then not just his contract should keep him at a club, there is surery a pesonal obligation to repay on the pitch.
I know it’s a pro game, but surley there has to be some room for personal integrity ?
