Came quicker than expected, within the last 30 minutes Everton have confirmed the transfer of Ross Barkley to Chelsea.
With it known that he was undergoing a medical at the club he rejected a move to last summer, the ink is now dry on a deal and he makes the reported £15million move with immediate effect.
The 24 year old came through our Academy and made his debut against Queens Park Rangers in August 2011 as a fresh faced 17 year old, and in total he departs having made 179 appearances with a return of 27 goals.
He has now played for us this season following the hamstring injury he sustained.
He has signed a five and a half year deal at Stamford Bridge.
