With less than ten days remaining in the transfer window, the speculation is intensifying, and time is running out for clubs to conclude their deals. One name that has emerged out of no-where is Gillingham’s, Tomas Holy.

According to Team Talk, we’re one of several teams interested in the services of the Gillingham goalkeeper. The 26-year-old joined the Gills from Sparta Prague on a free transfer in 2017, and he’s impressed during his spell with the League One club.

The report states that Arsenal, Crystal Palace, West Ham United, West Brom, Middlesbrough and ourselves are interested in his signature, and it’s believed that Gillingham are prepared to lose their goalkeeper.

Verdict:

Having secured the future of Maarten Stekelenburg, and with reports stating that we’ll reject any approach for Jordan Pickford, it does seem a little strange that we’re after the services of another keeper. However, the addition of another goalkeeper would allow others such as Mateusz Hewelt to depart on loan.
