At the beginning of the week as Everton fans began looking towards this weekend’s clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon, manager Marco Silva only had three injury concerns when it came to his first team group.

The three players were Jonjoe Kenny, Phil Jagielka and long-term James McCarthy.

As the game nears and we continue heading towards the end of the week, there has been a slight change to PhysioRoom’s injury table.

Jagielka has come off their list ahead of the match, and Kenny is still listed as being out with a knock for at least the next three days. McCarthy remains without a timescale as he continues building his fitness, but Richarlison features as many would expect.

The Brazilian 21-year-old is given a three day tag on the ankle injury that the gaffer spoke about following our 3-1 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion. Having taken a knock in the game, he went on to score a brace in the match and completed the 90 minutes so I imagine his inclusion is an effort to be more comprehensive, rather than any real doubt that he will miss the game.

I’ve certainly not heard anything to counter that belief as he’ll have been given a good rest this week I would think and the positive is, there are no fresh names otherwise.
