Marco Silva is not exactly liked by many Watford fans any more after what happened last season and the way he ended up being our manager.
Certainly, it’s unlikely that he is going to get a good reaction when we go to their place this season but it seems as though it’s not the whole club that doesn’t like him.
Indeed, Watford captain and his former player Troy Deeney has said that Silva will go to the top – without a hint of sour grapes.
Speaking to MNF on Sky Sports, he said:
“I respected what he was doing and really enjoyed training every day. I liked how Silva set his stall out and dissected who he wanted in and out of his team in a three week period.”
Clearly, it’s perhaps a bit of a surprise given the acrimony his exit left but Deeney has risen above this with some honest praise.
I think the big striker is spot on as well as the players are enjoying things, we just need to cut out the silly performances like the one we had at the weekend.
