Earlier today Everton confirmed that we would be hosting Spanish side Valencia at Goodison Park in our pre-season schedule this season.
Presumably, this will be the only home friendly of the summer so it’ll be the first time fans now get to see new manager Marco Silva strut his stuff in the home dugout.
The six-time La Liga Champions head to the Grand Old Lady on Saturday, August 4 for the game and the kick-off time has been set at 3pm. The match will take place one week before the Premier League kick-off of 2018/19.
In 2017/18 our opponents finished fourth in the Spanish top-flight to ensure their place in next season’s Champions League competition.
Tickets go on general sale from Tuesday, July 10 at 8am and are priced at £15 adults, £10 for under 25s and those aged 65 or over, and £5 for under 18s.
For most fans, they were hoping for a tie against Turkish outfit Besiktas and they weren’t slow on social media to point that out.
Sort Besiktas out ffs , idiots ????

This should be a Friendly with lots of competition. I hope we will have the new squad in place by the beginning of
August and that they will be performing like a well oiled machine.— Roger Williams (@RogerWi33581994) May 31, 2018
