With Everton almost being on the cusp of a first away win against Bournemouth at the weekend as we took a 2-0 lead at Dean Court despite being reduced to ten men with Richarlison’s straight red card, goals from Theo Walcott and Michael Keane weren’t enough for all three points as the hosts scored two of their own late on in the game.
There was plenty of disappointment amongst fans at the full-time whistle and there was also concern for Keane who saw himself stretchered off after a collision, but if fans wanted to look for positives – a number were on show.
One of those was the performance of Gylfi Sigurdsson and the 28-year-old continues to impress after his mixed start to life at Goodison Park.
Helping himself to an assist in the game, plenty of fans on social media warmed to his growing stature on the pitch as he’s slowly becoming the kind of player we thought we were signing from Swansea City now he’s better bedded in with us.
Gylfi is so good

Long may his form continue as he’s more than capable of being a star performer for us and it’s good to see the Icelandic international get off the mark with an assist as we should be able to expect plenty more before the year is out.
