Everton were pleased to announce that they had agreed a new long-term deal with the sports merchandise organisation Fanatics on Thursday, but it is clear from a lot of the replies that the Goodison Park fanbase are far from pleased at the news.
The new agreement will see Fanatics continue to operate the club’s two retail outlets at Goodison Park and in the city centre, as well as evertondirect.com, but going forward will create a “world-class retail experience” at the new stadium once it is built.
Everton also claim the Merseyside outfit will benefit from Fanatics international expansion programme to ensure there is a greater worldwide reach for its products, something fans have raised as a concern online since the announcement.
For some, Fanatics botched delivery of their products in a timely manner during the previous arrangement, while others pointed to the failure to deliver at Goodison Park and would prefer to see things sorted on the pitch first before signing with the same company that has failed them before…
Wow. About as exciting as watching the team at the moment ????????????????

That’s what I call market expansion… staying with the same company that won’t really distribute your shirts worldwide. Nice.
