According to Gazzetta di Parma, Everton are taking a look at AS Roma attacker Cengiz Under ahead of the summer window opening.
The Blues will be hopefully looking to add to their side in the summer window as Carlo Ancelotti aims to add to his ranks and bolster the club’s chances of regularly qualifying for European competition.
With that in mind, then, he’ll be looking to add players that have experience at that level and Under does, with Roma regularly on the continental scene.
Valued at £27m, he’s a left-footed footballer that likes to cut inside from the right and at 5ft 6in he’s the sort of diminutive winger that could prove quite tricky in the Premier League.
A note of caution, though, he has only scored three goals for Roma this season, from 20 appearances in all competitions, and so Ancelotti would have to weigh up whether it would be a worthwhile move.
At 22-years-old there’s plenty of room for him to grow, though, and so it could be an exciting signing if he came in and Carlo got a tune out of him.
The report also claims that he has not quite hit the heights that Roma had expected from him when they signed him and so they could be willing to let him leave in the summer window for the right prices.
A few question marks over him, then, but a talented player is in there nonetheless.
