Hopes and expectations in the Everton fanbase rose a touch more on Thursday morning with the announcement of the all important fixtures for the coming 2019/20 Premier League campaign, but some eagle eyed fans spotted what they thought was a slight from Sky Sports.
It’s a mixed fixture list for manager Marco Silva’s side, and December looks particularly tough on paper as we face Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal but you’ve got to face them all at some point.
The clubs’ social media team were on the ball as Sky made their announcement.

“Winter Is Coming” was an interesting choice for some fans, as the official Tweet response alluded to given results last season against those sides, but equally our response seemed to be a dig at Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp given his excuses after the game where he blamed the ‘wind’ for helping us to a draw.
Either way, plenty found it pretty funny and it brought a smile to my face.
Is this an inside dig at Klopp with all his terrible excuses? LOVE IT!
