According to the Daily Mail, Everton have been monitoring Jarrod Bowen at Hull City are looking to try and sign him if possible.

The Blues have been decent this season but when it has come to scoring goals they have largely been blunt and lacked a real lethal edge.

Bowen would add that, then, but if we cannot get him we have a back-up plan that would surely save us a tonne of money too.

Kieran Dowell is currently doing well out on loan at Sheffield United – and there is no reason why he can’t be at the level of Bowen.

Both are attacking midfielders and though Bowen looks that bit ahead in his development, at least Dowell has got potential and it also our player already.

Of course, I like Bowen and he is a good player but if we cannot get him, we should not play down the quality and ability Dowell can bring.
