Under pressure Everton boss Moyes has insisted Everton are not the next Ipswich and says it is unfair to draw comparisons between the two clubs.
In the press conference following Everton’s defeat to Tottenham, Moyes was asked a question about Everton’s current league position and what happened to Ipswich, who were then managed by George Burley, 3 years ago. The Tractor Boys went from a place in the UEFA Cup and Premiership football to relegation all in the space of 12 months.
However Moyes says there are load of differences between the two clubs: ‘People are drawing a comparisons with Ipswich Town but I think that is unfair. Everton are a bigger football club, and what Ipswich did was terrific but we aren’t thinking about what eventually happened to them.
