Clinical blues please boss

Everton ran out 3-1 winners at bottom club Aston Villa despite a tepid performance, the kind which really wouldn’t have beaten any other team in the division.

But you only get three points no matter the performance, and the blues got the job done with goals from Mori, Lennon and Lukaku.

Blues manager Roberto Martinez was pleased by the blues clinical performance in front of goal when they got their chances, speaking after the game to the official site:

“You could see that sense of excitement throughout the fans and everyone at Finch Farm to welcome Mr Moshiri with a win. We are sure he will be delighted with the three points.”

“Today wasn`t easy but we adapted and kept our concentration. We were clinical up front and defended well, so it was a pleasing win. It has given us a boost at this stage of the season.”

“The next 11 games are an opportunity to get as many good performances as we can and as many of the final 33 points as we can. That attitude was clear today.”

Hopefully this not exactly taxing performance and extra day preparation, compared to Saturday’s opponents West Ham, will lead to another three points in the blues next match.
