With Chelsea centre-half Kurt Zouma reportedly a new target for the heart of our defence with deals for Barcelona’s Yerry Mina and Manchester United’s Marcos Rojo gaining little traction, some Everton fans are absolutely delighted with the possibility of us capturing him for the campaign.
TRANSFER RUMOUR:
According to The Mirror, Everton are hoping Kurt Zouma will help solve their search for defensive reinforcements.
The Toffees are increasingly confident of landing the 23-year-old French stopper on loan from Chelsea for the season.

Having spent last season out on loan with Stoke City and enjoying mixed fortunes, his stock hasn’t diminished after they were relegated from the Premier League in 2017/18 and the advantage of a deal for the 23-year-old French international, if I’ve understood the change to the transfer window properly this summer, is that we don’t have to chase the deadline as we can still complete a loan move regardless.
Plenty of fans reacting to the news of Zouma being linked on social media would much prefer a permanent deal, but if my assumption is right we can loan until January and if Chelsea are willing to deal we can have a buy clause when the next window opens or next summer.
There are no guarantees Maurizio Sarri would deal on a permanent basis though, despite the competition they have in the backline at Stamford Bridge.

Would be sick having him and Mina at the back two athletic tanks with pace on either side

Hopefully loan with option to buy. Would do well with holgate

Solid defender and still young. Happy days!

Him and Mina would be nice, 2 CBS that improve us straight away. Should be looking at a CM though

With well over 100 starting appearances to his name in the game and 37 games under his belt from last season with Stoke, he’s got good experience for his age and has long been highly rated. Plenty of Chelsea fans think he should’ve got more game time for them following his reported £12.5million move from St Etienne so if there is a possible permanent deal on the table, it could be huge for us as he’s only going to get better with greater experience.
