Well played Lucas. You all showed today what you can do. Please keep working hard and performing as you did this afternoon. No reason to let this be a 1 off. The accolades belong to the team. COYB

Would be happy for Lucas Digne to continue as our captain. He is a player that maintains a high level of consistency. And capable of winning games on top form. #EFC

Digne has made 11 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring and creating four goals. The French international has played nearly every minute of every game (973 from a possible 990) and was recently rewarded with the captain’s armband.
Before Saturday’s meeting, Everton had lost to Bournemouth (1-3), Sheffield United (0-2), Manchester City (1-3) and Burnley (0-1) but now they’ve stopped the rot and earned a clean sheet.
The Toffees now sit 14th in the Premier League table with 10 points from nine games and next face Brighton & Hove Albion on October 26.
