After arranging to play a host of average lower league clubs, Everton have now announced their traditional home pre-season game against European opposition. Werder Bremen will come to town on Tuesday, July 31 with kick off at 8pm.
The Germans finished third this year but won the German double only two years ago and have much superior European pedigree than the blues. This will be a vital test for Moyes’s men ahead of their UEFA cup campaign with so few of their players having European experience.
