The latest update regarding the Toffees’ new stadium is a positive one for supporters, as the club announced on their official website that more than 43,000 people responded to Everton’s second stage public consultation into proposals for a new ground to be built at Bramley-Moore Docks, making ‘The People’s Project’ the largest commercial public consultation in the city of Liverpool’s history and one of the largest ever held in the UK.
It is now seemingly likely that a new stadium will be built at Bramley-Moore Docks, and some supporters on social media were delighted that the plans are making steady progress to the club into the modern era of football with a new state-of-the-art ground.
Here’s what some Everton fans had to say about the latest stadium update…

Some supporters, though, were not convinced they would be playing Premier League football in the new stadium…

This would be a massive waste of money if we don’t get out this mess! I know it’s early days. But if something doesn’t change rapid we are going down. Forever at top flight football for this clown to come in and play to draw 0-0 every game and still get shafted!

Goodison Park remains one of the oldest stadiums in English football, with the ground opening in 1892.
