Everton fans have been reacting on social media to the latest transfer speculation regarding the future of Idrissa Gana Gueye.
Gueye’s name has been in the transfer spotlight throughout the winter, with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly chasing the Senegal international as a replacement to Adrien Rabiot at Les Parc des Princes.
Rabiot is out of contract in the summer, and has already been frozen out of the first-team having rejected the numerous contract proposal’s offered to him at the runaway Ligue 1 leaders.
Everton’s defensive midfielder emerged as one of the early contenders to succeed the Frenchman and appeared to help negotiations on Monday night when Sky Sports News reported that Gueye had written to club officials asking them to sanction his transfer.
The suggested request came hours after the Blues denied PSG’s advances with a reported £21.5million bid.
Sky Sports have since run an update in their transfer feed claiming Everton deny receiving such a request, but it doesn’t stop fans from speaking, some of which would gladly see the Toffees cash in on the 29-year-old…
Gana is 29 now. But we are looking for 3-5 years future. I don’t think he will be the part of that project. Let’s him go and find younger replacement.

To be honest I think he has gone off the boil since before Christmas anyway, I reckon Benni could cover there until the summer. Sell Gueye and buy Batshuayi….sorted ????????

If we were still in the cup I wouldn’t sell gueye what so ever but as our season is over, get the best price we can then gives us 6 months to identify the right replacement
