Everton are fighting to find consistency under Marco Silva and, having swept aside Brighton last weekend, face a stern test on Sunday against Maurizio Sarri’s unbeaten Chelsea.
Taking anything from the trip to Stamford Bridge will be difficult and Everton will then have to deal with the last international break of the year, where the final matches of the UEFA Nations League will be played.
World Cup semi-finalists England tackle Croatia in their final game, a rematch of the clash that saw Gareth Southgate’s side knocked out in Russia, while the Three Lions also have a friendly at Wembley against the United States.
Everton stopper Jordan Pickford will likely retain his spot as England’s first-choice option between the posts and he could see a familiar face line-up ahead of him, as Southgate has recalled Michael Keane to his squad.
Fans on social media have given their assessment on his call-up and we have gathered some of the best reactions below.

Deserved, quality defender, showed that at Burnley and after a season where his confidence was low looks back to his best. We’ve got some great English defenders now, nice one @michaelkeane04
