Ahead of game week 2 fixtures, Everton travel to the West Midlands to face Aston Villa in Saturday’s 12:30 kick off.

Everton have not won at Villa Park since the 2015/16 season when they came away 3-1 victors, since Aston Villa’s promotion in 19/20 Everton’s record is not the best with a record (P3,W0,D1,L2) Via (TransferMarkt)

In game week 1 both sides were on the receiving end of a defeat with Everton narrowly losing at home to Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea 1-0, whilst Steven Gerrard’s Villa side got of to a disappointing start to the season as they travelled to newly promoted Bournemouth and suffered a 2-0 defeat without causing Bournemouth too many problems. With the injuries in the first game for Ben Godfrey and Yerry Mina, Everton recruited Wolves captain Conor Coady and LOSC Lille midfielder Amadou Onana who will both be available to play this weekend after signing for the club at the start of the week.

Steven Gerrard could come under a little pressure if they don’t get a result at home this weekend with his premier league record as Aston villa boss slowly getting worse. (P28,W10,D5,L13) Via (PremierLeague)
