Brazilian Richarlison played a key role in helping Everton to a fourth victory in five as we hosted Brighton and Hove Albion at Goodison Park last Saturday.

The 21-year-old made it six goals from nine league games for us as he found the back of the net in the 26th and 77th minutes of the game, and with Seamus Coleman getting one of his own in the 50th minute, we secured another three points in a 3-1 win.

Having easily stolen the show and walked to Man of the Match for many, Richarlison was on the end of some high praise indeed and not just manager Marco Silva.

Match of the Day pundit Ian Wright raved about him on the BBC One’s highlights show (10.30pm – 3/11).

“Fantastic. Eyebrows were raised when he went there for the £40million but he’s got better. Since he’s been in the centre he’s got three goals out of the four games. He seems to be able to just go anywhere. It’s a brilliant goal. He’s got himself in the middle there and once it bounces up, left foot – beautiful finish. He was absolutely brilliant today.”

Eyebrows were certainly raised on his signing given the potential £50million price tag given his age and how much development he still has to do, but he is improving and few can argue with that.

Wright’s words are spot on and the best thing is there should be even more to come from him as he continues to learn.
