Bad news on the injury front as Moyes believes Beattie will miss Saturday’s game to Spurs with yet another injury set back. Beattie has missed the majority of games since his £6million arrival from Southampton last January and the 27 year old striker is continuing to struggle with a calf problem and looks to miss out on training this week.
Moyes told the official site: ‘James is still working with the physio. There is no way I can consider him for Saturday unless he has some training under his belt. He is a naturally fit lad but he needs some match practice. Without training, the best we could hope for is a place on the substitutes’ bench at the weekend.’
