As quoted by Championnat, Nikola Vlasic’s agent and father has slammed Marco Silva for the way he worked in the summer over the player’s move away.
The attacking midfielder is currently on loan in Russia and has started well for CSKA Moscow – starring in their Champions League campaign.
Certainly, he looks like a talent who could still offer us something in the future but it seems as though things are frosty between his camp and Silva right now.
Vlasic the elder said:
“Marco Silva is under enormous pressure because he gave Nikola away on loan.
“Many fans and journalists believe Everton have big problems in midfield, and Nikola is the player they need.
“Vlasic told Silva before leaving he considered himself the best midfielder in the team. The manager made a big mistake.
“Nikola might stay at CSKA next season, but it’s too early to talk about it.”
He’s a good player clearly but I can see why Silva let him go.
Perhaps he was a bit hasty but he didn’t play well last year and it is not as if we have sold him on a permanent deal.
Things can still be patched up and so I don’t really get the need for Vlasic’s father to come out with this right now before anything has been decided.
