After summer rejection, perhaps now Everton would let this deal go through

According to Turkish outlet Fotomac, Everton could have sold Cenk Tosun to Besiktas but decided not to in the summer.

The Turkish side saw Alvaro Negredo depart during the off-season and his former side wanted a replacement striker to come in.

They sent representatives to try and strike a deal with the Blues, then, but ultimately failed with the player still on our books.

He’s not exactly shown why we kept him so far this season, though, with him currently well into a goal-drought that has hampered us this season.

If they came calling again, then, you wonder whether we might be more tempted to let him go this time around than we were in the summer.

Certainly, if we could get a replacement in for him during January or next summer I reckon we’d be more open to letting him leave.

That said, he might well turn things around – let’s see.
