Chelsea and Everton played out a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, which saw Marco Silva’s side impress in their trip to West London.

The Toffees have historically struggled in their clashes against the Blues and the fact that Maurizio Sarri is yet to taste defeat in competitive fixtures with Chelsea left the odds firmly stacked against Silva’s team.

However, a valiant performance from the Merseyside outfit secured a point that presents the perfect platform to build upon in the weeks after the current international break – where Everton host a struggling Cardiff side before clashing with arch-rivals Liverpool.

Some fans continue to be angry at one particular incident from the goalless draw with Chelsea though, as Blues defender Antonio Rudiger earned vast amounts of criticism after accusing Bernard of headbutting him and labelling the incident ‘a joke’ after the final whistle after calling for VAR.

Rudiger was booked in the aftermath of the clash with Bernard but Everton fans are convinced there wasn’t much in the incident and shared their thoughts on social media.
