Everton take on Liverpool on Monday night as the next Merseyside derby rolls around at Goodison Park in the Premier League.
It’s a game that always has plenty riding on it but this edition of it has that extra bit of spice given the Reds are looking at getting the league title after a 30-year wait.
The Blues, then, will be eager to try and sort that out and at least make them wait a little bit longer given the rivalry, with them surely fancying their chances.
Indeed, the Reds have wobbled of late and have crashed out of two cup competitions and the Blues have been in decent form, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin leading the charge.
And, the man known as DCL, has been reflecting on the relationship he has at the club with fellow youngsters Tom Davies and Mason Holgate:
2⃣3⃣ Holgate
2⃣2⃣ Calvert-Lewin

Amidst that, though, Blues fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the trio and, in particular, Davies, who has struggled to really kick on.
Let’s take a look at what has been said on social media about the midfielder:
Tom Davies needs a season out on loan, to really see if he can cut it/ step up. Right now, he's not good enough to play for us…. and maybe never will be. Its a shame, as he was showing so much promise in his teens

Davies needs to step up or ship out. Not at the required level for the Prem.
