Ronald Koeman has included a surprise or two in his Everton squad for the upcoming Europa League Group E campaign, well; ‘surprise’ is perhaps the wrong choice of word.

Despite the fact Ross Barkley is still sidelined, his future looks certain to be away from Goodison Park too, the midfielder has been included in the boss’ 27-man squad for the group games against Atalanta, Lyon and Apollon Limassol coming up between now and Christmas.

Seamus Coleman, obviously recovering from his broken leg, is also named.

After completing a transfer deadline switch to Everton, playing against the Blues for Hajduk Split in the play-off tie, Nikola Vlasic is included in Koeman’s squad.
