According to the Daily Star, Everton are taking a close look at Red Bull Leipzig and Sweden star Emil Forsberg after his performances at the World Cup.
The Swedes bowed out of the competition yesterday at the hands of England but up to that point Forsberg was one of their more impressive talents.
That said, then, we’re apparently keen on the winger and it would seem that he’s not going to come cheap if we want to get him.
According to the report, after recently signing a new contract with his Bundesliga side, the winger will cost £25m which, even in this current market, would be a fair bit of money.
The Verdict
I like the idea of getting at least one new winger in the club but, at the same time, I don’t want us to overspend.
Forsberg is a good player and has played at a high level but is he worth that? I’m not so sure.
