2 Tackles, 7 Clearances & 6 Interceptions Sees Everton Man Take The Merseyside MotM

On Sunday afternoon, Everton welcomed local rivals Liverpool to Goodison Park for the Merseyside derby.

With poorer form for Everton and manager Marco Silva, there was more than just bragging rights riding on the game given Liverpool’s chase for the 2018/19 Premier League title, but in stepping up our performance and securing a scoreless draw, we put a spanner in the works and helped hand Manchester City a points advantage over them.

Whilst the match was hardly a classic, and both sides only had three registered efforts on target across the 90 minutes, statistics website Whoscored struggled to separate the sides in their player ratings.

Each side had one player awarded eight or above, with five at seven or above.

Michael Keane took our Man of the Match with a rating of 8.20 for his efforts on the day, and completing the top five best performers in their eyes were Lucas Digne (7.91), Idrissa Gueye (7.41), Morgan Schneiderlin (7.33) and Seamus Coleman (7.17).

Gylfi Sigurdsson also received a seven score with 7.08.

A solid point, and now hopefully end the season with some kind of run of consistency.
