Everton midfielder EXILED after causing dressing room bust-up

|

Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure was involved in a dressing room bust-up after his side’s 2-1 loss to Southampton and has been exiled from the first team and told to train alone, according to recent reports.

The toffees have been going through a rough patch on and off the pitch of late, with Frank Lampard’s side sitting 19th in the Premier League after 20 game weeks.

Lampard now looks set to be relieved of his duties as Everton manager after almost a year, with the 2-0 loss to West Ham at the London stadium on the weekend seemingly the final nail in the coffin.

However, more evidence of how firey the atmosphere in the Everton camp is has recently emerged.

According to Paul Joyce, writer for The Times, Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure has been forced to train alone after being involved in a row in the dressing room after his side’s loss to Southampton last week.

Doucoure has struggled for minutes under Frank Lampard this season, only making one start all season, playing in a side that lost 4-1 to Bournemouth in the EFL Cup in November.

The 30-year-old’s entire Everton career has been a bit underwhelming to say the least. He arrived from Watford for a fee believed to be around £20 million with big expectations.

However, since moving he has made 82 appearances in his 3 years at the club, scoring only 5 goals and 7 assists in that time.

Doucoure is another example of Everton’s recent overspending on overvalued players in recent years.
